About The Willow Tree School

Since adolescence, Viviana D. Sanchez has been deeply impacted by the students she tutored and was profoundly intrigued with how students differed in learning, retaining, and engaging with both familiar and unknown material presented to them. What motivates students to learn? Why does each child learn so differently? What holistic and traditional factors, tools, and accommodations must be considered to create the perfect space and environment for learners? These were some of the many questions that inspired Viviana to pursue her career in education and child development.

While in college, she worked at the Central Florida YMCA for five years in various leadership roles, such as volleyball coach, YMCA After School Program co-teacher, lead teacher at the Dr. P. Phillips Child Development Center, and summer camp coordinator for the first-ever Little Picassos Art Summer Camp for children ages 6-9 for two years.

Once obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Art Education and a double minor in Psychology and French from the University of Central Florida in 2013, Viviana began her career as a certified educator in various subjects throughout Florida and Virginia, respectively. With 10 years of hands-on experience in education, this data collection allowed her to analyze, interpret, and conclude many essential variables and components that inspired her to create The Willow Tree School.

The Willow Tree School’s teaching approach is a non-invasive combination of holistic approaches and techniques and traditional educational philosophies that individually cater to every family and student’s needs, goals, and desires. We believe that focusing on students’ well-being and health is as important as their academic success and knowledge expansion.

We’re dedicated to creating a safe, calm, and student-centered space so that each student can pave their path to academic growth and learning. With the proper dignity, respect, empathy, and patience, we’re confident that progress and betterment will be evident at a pace that favors both students and their families.

A tree is a seed that never gave up on its dream to flourish.
